Maybe not damn good, but it was darn good

We, as in Oklahoma, finally got this in distro. There is also a maple bourbon version, that I have not had yet.

Did find a few CBS in town, which I'm looking forward to, but the "hype" might ruin it for me.
 
One of my favorite bars had CBS on tap yesterday. I went there for dinner tonight but it was all gone. Oh well. I'm sticking with the Christmas theme and having Lost Abbey Gnoel De Abbey tonight.

I thought you all couldn't find any good beer in your neck of the woods you Dick! I could only find two bottles, one of which I promised to you..... That'll teach me to feel sorry for you.... :rolleyes:

Sounds delicious Jeff! Have you ever tried cable car? It’s been on my list for a long time. I hear it’s really good.

Bwwwaaaaa. Seriously, thanks! This is the first year we've ever gotten good stuff. Otherwise, I have to trade for them. Oklahoma isn't seeing any BCBS until after the New Year.

I don't believe I've tried that one yet. I'll be on the lookout. Port/The Lost Abbey have so many different barrel aged beers that it's hard to keep track of them all. I'm rather surprised I haven't seen the barrel aged version of Santa's Little Helper on shelves yet. I've seen the regular version but not the BA one. Perhaps they had to dump the whole batch?

Anyway, this one is going down right now. Pretty good stuff.

I’ve had every one of the series except No. 1 & 2, and have them all in my collection going back to 5 Golden Rings. Pretty Good Stuff indeed!

Cablecar in bottles is gonna be pretty hard to find now, and usually over priced on the shelf if you do.
 
From one of the Texas brothers. It was from Beer SS and the bottle date is '14. Sorry I can't remember who sent it.

Funny story.... Brandon indicated he’d never get his hands on BCBS and CBS his way so we kind of made a light hearted trade for the BCBS for some Prarie Brews via text. The CBS was something I told him last summer I’d hook him up with I came across an extra bottle. I waited in line and had my wife wait in line to see if I can score two bottles of CBS. Then trying to hook a brother up I drive all over with the help of my Total Wine Manager to score enough BCBS for us both. Without telling him, I sent off my end preemptively on Thursday containing both. The same day I see him posting he’s got CBS his way, and now BCBS is coming. The “DICK!” looks like he’s now going to have more of both than me. :D:)

Just making sure you got some. I stumbled into a decent sized purchase of it this year.
 
Taking Jeff’s lead, I’m enjoying a bottle of The The Bruery’s 10 Lords A Leaping. Reminds me of a fuller bodied version of Anchor Brewing’s Christmas Ale.
