Unhappy Thread

about 20:30 yesterday evening I was sitting in my truck enjoying a tasty cigar when I noticed a black Ford Crown Vic heading toward me.
As the vehicle approached within ~50 feet I saw the driver's arm fly out the window holding a semi auto pistol in his left hand, as he fired off four rounds. The third shot went off about 8 feet to the left side of my head (casing was located under my truck). All this made me very unhappy, hence the entry here in the thread.
There is one silver lining: I'm happy I did not have my 40 cal. on me at the time, because I would still be in jail right now.

EDIT: 07/28/2021
Will be discussing the Monday evening drive-by later this morning with investigators from SPPD Gang and Gun Unit

EDIT: 07/29/21
SPPD Gang and Gun Unit sergeant confirmed the four (4) shell casings recovered were actually 45 caliber, not 40 cal. as the primary officer had told me late Monday evening. Word is this felony will go unsolved, unless SPPD receives more info. Now I am extremely unhappy.

I am thoroughly gutted at hearing the news, Dusty Hill passed earlier today 😭

I'm raising a glass to Dusty .............

Hey look! I found the root of my electrical issues in the garage! View attachment 45581
That's not the root of the problem, though I can see how that wood give you issues. That's gonna leaf a mark. I'd follow the black wire and see where it branches off from; you might find your answer there. You could just be barking up the wrong tree, though, and find out the headache is just an electrical short from some bad construction...

Took the car to the dealership to get an oil change (had a $25 off coupon) and per emails I received from the maker, have them disable the mobile start feature in return for a $400 credit. Walking away spending over $600 on maintenance and the dealership had no idea what I was talking about regarding the emails from the maker for the mobile start disable and asked me to come back another time for that.

Reminds me to never, ever, ever, ever, ever go to the dealership for maintenance unless absolutely proof-positively have to.

Yup. Happened to me last month.

Hard to get a good picture, but these are the mountains across the lake from my house. It's been a crazy fire season.

On one leg, that's got to be cool to see at night.

On the other leg (lucky bastard), there's a large body of water between the fire and you, right?

On the third leg (again, not me), it should snow there sometime in the next week and put it all out, right?

Hoping for the best for everyone in your area, Justin. Stay safe.

No concerns for our house, we're far enough from any wooded area. Lots of other people in a really shitty situation right now though.
