2021 the Pro’s and the Con’s

So we are at that time of the year were people reflect on the past year and look forward to the next year. So after a night of drinking on the porch and having a nice cigar I’ve compiled a list of what we’re my Con’s and Pro’s of 2021. I chose to end with Pro’s because I like being positive focused. Here we go:
Con’s:
Covid obviously
Masks, social distancing
Political divide
Afghanistan
Loosing track of long time friends
Loosing Ranger
Family drama
Truck totaled
Lack of weight loss
The news becoming so sensational about everything
Lack of church

Pro’s:
Streamlined our finances in specifics and life in general
Patio construction
New puppy
V-Herf and along with this, strengthening relationships with various CPass members
Starting a nursing program
Extreme Christmas lights
Several beach trips
The development of my kids
F3 workout group
Discovering my love of tequila and scotch
Repainting the kitchen and living room
Building new relationships
Solo stove and Kamado Joe
Unexpected family reunions and time with extended family members
Improved relationship with wife
Comfortable clothes
Investing in Me be it books, massages, or physically

so what about you guys?

Come on @CigarStone , you can add to the Pro’s list a little bit more. I bet if you think about it over a cigar or a beer that you can at least add 5 more things to the Pro’s. Go ahead and give it a try. Feel free add that stuff in your original post.
 
Cons:
Political climate of the US
Loins
Lack of snow

Pros:
New job that is 1000x less stressful
Michigan football
Another year of coaching football and first with my son on the team
My kids thriving
Another year not drinking (could go on either list 😂)
More exercise than I've got since college
Oldest daughter decided to start skiing again
Wife almost done with her doctorate
Wife left toxic job
 
Cons:
All things political.
Still haven't lost the weight I've gained over the past few years.
Still dealing with sciatica issues.
Travel has been very limited.
Still haven't won the lottery.
One of my favorite gastropubs likely shut down for good.

Pros:
Got engaged.
Not traveling has allowed me to significantly pay down debt.
Slowly making our patio area more homey.
Patio area has lead to more cigar/pipe time.
Still employed.
Family and friends and doggos are still happy and healthy and I see them on the regular (this is the single most important thing I could think of)
 
I'm going to switch it around

Pro:
Wife and I bought our dream house (new construction in February of this year)
Price of that house has gone up tremendously since purchasing
Paid off both of our vehicles and all credit cards. So for the first time in almost my entire life I can say I'm debt free other than the house
Have increased by cigar collection by a ton this year
Kids, wife, parents, brothers family all healthy and happy
Oldest daughter started attending college this year and received a full academic scholarship
Wife and I both have our jobs, looks like we'll still have them next year as well
CP Vherf has been huge this year. Definitely a great way to end each week and have made some amazing friendships I would have never thought possible from an online cigar page.
My wife and I have been able to take a couple of short vacations alone this year which was extremely nice to get some time away from the kids.

Cons:
The house we bought in February was supposed to be done November or December of this year. Its not even close to being done. Estimate currently is "Maybe" April or May
There is a backlog of windows, new house is waiting for windows.
My in laws have been at our house far more than Im comfortable with this year
My wifes ex husband has been at our house far more than I"m comfortable with this year
Its been difficult this year in our current home, wife and i both work from home and we have way too much stuff in this house staging for the new home. Its cramped and has made the year extremely stressful. See above 2 additional reasons for this.
Was hoping bitcoin and the other crypto investments I made would be up 1000X from my initial investment so I could retire this year. Umm it has not.
The world is still crazy, Covid is still here and rather than going away its starting to get as confusing as people's pronouns. Pick a variant and stick with it already!

Okay, more pros.

I reunited with Cigarpass.

My first granddaughter was born.

@jfields John and I got together multiple times.

I got a gun for my wife. Best trade I ever made!
