Oh, man. I think I was about 14 when I first got contact lenses. I remember the struggle -- you certainly have earned that smoke! Tell him to stick with it. How is he with putting them in? Have him try putting a drop of solution in the lens before putting it on his eye if he's having a hard time placing it properly, and look up a split second before it touches the eyeball.

I appreciate the advice Nick. The doctor put them in for him for fitting. We spent all night getting them out. I ordered a suction cup thing so we can avoid this while he is learning. He gave up 45 minutes before I was able to get them out of his eyes. The correct way is to pull the contact down, then pinch it out once its in the bottom of your eye. I just always grabbed them and pinched but my wife said that isn't right..... He is going to start up again Thursday because we will have the suction cup as a backup and because he has a 3 day weekend to figure it out.

Do you wear contacts? I never noticed! Just tell him to stick with it -- it's going to be ridiculously frustrating for some time, and then one day it will suddenly be like he wondered how he ever had a problem at all. Good luck! Oh, also, if he ever falls asleep with them in, be sure to put a drop of solution in the eye, first, before attempting to take it out or it will feel like he is ripping off a layer of his cornea.

Molly and I both wore contacts for over 20 years each. We both had lasik now so I am trying to remember how its all done :)

I wish I’d seen those prices. Price to value is always debatable, but it’s a fine cigar in my book. I‘m pacing myself.
