My Father ( long John). Had a weeks rest and dry box it, but still kept going out within a minute puffing. Don't understand what's going on with it.

This is why Lancero's are not my favorite. I don't think I should have to suck and play with it the whole time.

Just over 4 months rest.

Medium body, the Dominican tobacco definitely dominates the flavor at the start with cedar, tea, grass. A hint of black pepper on the retro, a hint of cocoa on the finish.

Middle third picks up the pepper significantly and switches it to red, and throws in some earth and spice. Much more Nicaraguan profile, but with a bit of sweetness in the finish.

Final third just gets more earthy, a little less spicy.

Not bad, but nothing to get excited about.

Ok! Not buying these any more! 😍 it. But law of diminishing returns hits hard on this one. At $18-20 each vs the $7-8 for a base Padron? Sorry. Will buy base Padrons by the box. This? Nope. Great cigar. Too pricey for the value, IMO.

Good experiment though. Now that I have a sampler of these, I know! 😎
