For once, knowledge is making me poor!
You hear all kinds of anecdotal sayings like "Fifty years ago you car's owners manual told you how to set the valve timing, today, it tells you not to drink the battery acid"
But here is a real life example of our stupidity as a society.
My washing machine shit the bed today so I went to a used appliance store to look at what they had to offer. They had a decent selection between $350 and $600 and as I browsed around I saw that the older machines were priced pretty high and the new-fangled machines were pretty low. When I asked why he said "nobody wants the newer machines because they don't use enough water to get clothes clean."
I had heard that the new "auto-sensing machines" were garbage but I didn't realize just how foolish society had become in this arena. Because some dipshits cried about wasting water we all have to accept that our clothes won't get clean. In fact, there is no such thing as "wasting water"; every drop of water used goes right back into our eco system so the idea of "saving water" is a complete fallacy anyway.
And by the way, using the new auto-sensing machine, I started a load and after 15-20 minutes I checked in on it ................... and half the clothes were still dry.
So now ................ I have to use the "deep wash" and "deep rinse" which makes the machine use 500% more water. Way to go dipshits!
