1st Annual CigarPass Herf

Ok peeps,

I made reservations for Delmonico Steakhouse for 10PM at the Venetian Hotel and Casino on Friday MAy 26th.

The dress is dress-casual (no gym shoes, hats t-shirts)

We will be seated in tables of 6 and 6. The tables will be right next to each other. I have 9 ppl in so far. But made it for 12 ppl just in case anyone else decides to come along.

Things are starting to come along.
A cple more weeks and we will all be herfing in style in Vegas.

The vendors are starting to send their donations. SO as soon as I get them I will mark them and than send them out to our resident Las Vegas Herf Liason.
Also mailing a few other things to him so we have for the herf.

looks like I am a go :p - wife can't make it ( no one to watch the 3 kids :whistling: ) - my USAir buddy is working on a buddy pass - should arrive late on Thursday and leave early on Sunday - HATGUY let me know if you need money now for the room - really looking forward to meeting all of you - should be lots of fun - count me in for all the activities ( lunch, dinner - afternoon cocktails, morning cocktails, evening cocktails :laugh: you name it, I am game)

i think shooter is also working on coming into town.

i think he might need a room at a reasonable rate..anyone else have a room ?? :whistling:

Guys don't worry about payment as of yet. I am going to get all that together in the next couple of weeks. I will see about getting another room. Not sure that will be possible, but it never hurts to ask. I need the guys that do have rooms with me to PM me if I miss you. As of now I have. Me, Steve, Cory, Jeremy, Bruce, and Rob. I hope this is right. If not someone is going to have to share ;)
 
I don't travel in the air much with my cigar stuff - A couple of questions for all that do:

1. Are you permitted to carry a touch lighter?

2. Are you permitted to carry a cigar cutter?

I will only have carry on luggage, therefore, both of these items will be with me on the plane -

If you are not permitted, I assume a BOTL will give me a cut and a light :whistling:

Good questions! I was wondering the same thing since I hadn't flown since the tragedy...anyone know?
 
1.No lighters at all. (unless you have them in the TSA approved otterbox for ZIppo lighters. :sign: or you bring it in it original packing without any butane in it whatso ever. You can say it is a gift for someone..LOL!!

2.Cutters. I recommend you hide it well. Or bring a cheap cutter with you in case it does get taken.


I have successfully taken my cutter and torch to Vegas 4 out of 4 times.
I store the lighter and cutter in my luggage in a very hard to locate area.
Only bring these items if you plan on checking in your luggage.
Pm for the areas I like to store these itmes. In case any TSA agents are reading this ..LOL!!

But as far as carry on I would not tempt fate Im sure a cple botls will have matches torches and cutters :thumbs: .

As far as carrying on cigars. No need to worry about that.
I always bring my 18 count otterbox as a carry on. Have not had a problem yet.
Well only one time I was asked to open the box they rummaged thru my cigars and said ok go thru.. :whistling:
 
I'm going to bring some cigar accessories to raffle off. Aside from that, I'd like to hold a couple of contests. Any suggestions for a contest? I have a couple ideas in mind, but always open to hear your suggestions.

Lets have a Wilkey smoke - a group stack em, and shoot em. I should be identical cigars though, just to even the field.
