By the way thanks Greg!

You talkin to me? I didn't give you a Dragon's Milk but I've had it and agree it tastes like it's aged in bourbon barrels and is a bit thin.

Tonight I had:
Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad - really good belgian style Quadruple with barrel aged flavors
Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout - I really need to buy another 2-3 4packs of this stuff before it disappears
Great Divide Hibernation

My bad ... someone gave me a double duece of it. Who ever did thank you very much...please send more. =)

I have a BBQ ... maybe its time to pop it open.

Finnegans Irish Amber. Tastes like ass. Potatoey ass, but ass nonetheless.

I think that was me with the Dragon's Milk. Good stuff, like drinking a Heath bar! A new batch of the BBQ came out a few weeks ago. Boulevard's been on a roll lately. They released a wheat wine about a month ago and the Tank 7 saison came out this week. It's basically the Saison Brett without the Brett. I've never had the BCS, but have always wanted to try it. I love the Great Divide Hibernation, awesome malt bomb. That sounds like a good nights' drinking!

How's the wheatwine Pete?

Quick sampling and I really enjoyed it. I thought the wife would, but she didn't enjoy it as much as I did.

Dogfish Head Chicory Stout. Much better than it sounds.

How's the wheatwine Pete?

It's different. It has a nose like a Sauvingon Blanc, lots of tropical fruit. I've got another bottle to try. I haven't had much Wheat wine. We just got one from New Holland called Pilgrim's Dole. It was more like a nice Barleywine. Good stuff.

Shoot sorry about that guys.

Pete I apoloize. I think drinking beer has caused memory failure
That's was some good ish though. I may be in contact with you in future ;o)

I had a couple cans of Belhaven Scottish Ale with my boss/buddy while out running errands during working hours! Some of the best beer I've ever had in my life but I'm sure a lot has to do with the circumstances.

More Anchor Christmas 09.... So good. Must get more.

You guys just love this beer? I've been through a couple six packs (last year as well) and I don't get it. It's not bad, but...

For the WI and MN guys, on the other hand, Rush River's Winter Warmer is just fantastic. Still the winner of the season for me.

2008 Goose Island BCS. I thought that a year would mellow this beer out but still tasted quite boozy. Felt like I was drinking bourbon and not beer. Also had DFH Chicory Stout. Lovely beer. Placed a Firestone 13th in the fridge. Will be drinking this for Christmas.

I was thinking of opening my FW12 for Christmas. I just bought some of the 2009 BCS, but I haven't opened one yet.

From what I have heard, the FW11 is peaking but the 12 could hold up for at least another year. Wish I can find the 2009 BCS in the 4 pack. Its just way too boozy to open a 22 oz unless sharing with friends.

Big beers tonight most at the local beer bar.

Rahr Iron Thistle Scottish Ale on Cask - creamy scottish ale
Saint Arnold Divine Reserve #9 on tap - more pumpkin/nutmeg on draft than out of the bottle
Franconia Winter Wheat - like a Dunkel with winter warmer style flavors

At home:
Sierra Nevada Celebration 2009 - creamy & excellent IPA

Tonight is a 2007 Smoked Alaskan Porter. Not one of the better vintages but WOW. Still has a ton of smoke, and only a trace of alcohol on the finish.
