The LEAF FUND

OK Fellow LEAF FUNDERS...

We are almost completely liquid. We have that coffee stock that it just doesn't pay to get out of. It would cost more in commissions to sell that it's worth. Here is what I did:

5/31 Sell LVLT 200 @ 2.44
6/06 Sell SBLK 100 @ 2.14
6/13 Sell URRE 200 @ 1.57
6/14 Sell CPSL 100 @ 0.91
6/14 Sell SIRI 500 @ 1.92
6/17 Buy XIDE 100 @ 6.69 sorry I saw an oppertunity and jump it!
6/21 Sell XIDE 100 @ 7.39 +$50.00

Current Portfolio:

GWDCQ.PK 100 @ 0.0240 = $0,002.40

CASH = $2,182.57

Total value = $2,184.97

I liquidated our holdings because I had a bad feeling the market was going to crash!!! Like I'm some kind of Nostradamus....

Come on - do it - this is gambling anyhow. The stock is always in play - If the next qtr. comes out with positive earnings, I think this could see $ 4.00 quick.

Well - Did we make the purchase? If so, what price and how many shares?

Unfourtunately not... LVLT has made an impressive graph up too! I just have reservations of pulling the trigger. at a price we sold at. I know this is a club effort... and I am always asking for suggestions, now when I get one... I just piss it off! No way to be I'm sure. Here is the deal. If it drops today or remains flat with higher volume... we'll buy in... if it moves up, well I think we should pass.

Members post your wishes... yes to buy ... no to wait for pull back.

Go for it, Michael. Buy today if it's flat or drops. Can't win if you don't play.

Michael, please tell me you bought in. If not, hold for 24. I think there will be some profit taking by COB today.

Hell, we've been in this thing for almost 4 years now and it's not like we'll be able to quit our day jobs off of the profits, so I say go with it!

Yup, it dove this morning. Now's the time, Michael.

OK it dropped again yesterday... since the majority (LMAO... freaking 3 of 30) want back in LVLT... we'll buy today! This is a great time to start your own yahoo or google finance portfolio so you'll know where we are and also keep you posting and keeping this topic active!.

Here's to start you own portfolio:

Leaf Fund

GWDCQ.PK buy 100 shares @ .53 a share. Future trades are $9.99 for buys and $10.02 for sales. (so much for the always 9.99 trade advertisement) But do not start this portfolio with any commissions for GWDCQ so you willhave accurate start up vakue. Now with that stock in your portfolio put $ 2182.57 in cash. That's what we have as of this post.

After you enter that you should end up with 100 shares of GWDCQ.PK worth 3.10 and 2182.57 in cash for a total porfolio value worth 2185.67.

I'll post the particulars after we score some LVLT.
.

500 shares at 2.47 + 9.99 comm.

I bought 200 of AMR @ 5.20

Lets see what haappens to my stock pick in the next 21 days vs LVLT . I'm hoping for .75 points from American Airlines in the next 3 weeks! Call me stupid and uninformed or a freakin psychic .... no... not psycho!!! LOL!

8/3/11 will be the end date for comparison puposes. :)

edit to add:

Let me clarify... the AMR stock is my own personal stock... not the LEAF FUND's Stock.

Since you're psycho...I mean psychic and you feel so strongly about AMR, why not grab 50 shares or so for our portfolio? I realize the profit margin won't be as great because of the higher stock price, but what the hell!

I understand this is a group thing, but it's not like we're all scrutinizing what we have each day here (as you've pointed out! ). Take a chance! That's why were here Michael. Now, if my math didn't add up and we don't have any funds available for this, please excuse my ignorance.

We have 937.58 in cash!
LVLT 500 shares
GWDCQ.PK 100 shares

I was thinking we need cash to get in on opportunities. I'm reluctant to do AMR for the "LEAF FUND" since I've had some stellar disappointing picks in the last 3+ years.

Ohh.. here's my reasoning behind AMR:
under $100 oil
a decline of 5.5 million shares short.
Just trying to see if the math works on this equation.

Hell, if everyone always picked winners, there'd be a world full of millionaires!

Heck... I'd like to just be a hundredaire out of this ruff charting chaos I've thrown a dart or two in!

I guess what I'm saying (and you probably already gotten the gist of it) is to take a flier every now and again with one of these stocks that your gut is telling you to go with. When you put something out there for us to vote on or to at least tell you what we think, you might get 3-5 responses if you're lucky. You're doing all the dirty work for us Michael, so take a chance on a flier you feel good about. If it doesn't preform, so be it. If it does, you look like a genius!

I guess to paraphrase is....take a risk! Don't worry about what people say or you feel it might bomb and then you'll feel bad about it.Man, I've only gotten two shares in this thing, but I've been in it since the inception. I really don't think that $80 is gonna have me rethink my future if I don't see a return on it.

LOL.... I have.. and I've bombed several times more than I've blown away!!! Your $80 is now worth a measley $57.594. At one point it was worth just over $20. I've fought hard to try and recover our loss with less than stellar results. I am ready to take the plunge! Do or die! :)

What he said!

I approached this as the money was gone the second I sent it to you. It's been fun sitting on the sidelines watching the ups and downs. I seriously doubt anybody is going to scream for your head if we lost all of it. You have been very good about soliciting input and suggestions. A few have responded, but most of us have sat around and let you handle it. (For the record, I include myself in the second group.)

Go for it, Michael!
