2009 Opus X/Anejo Superbowl Box Pool(s)

Good luck guys! I will miss this one but I will be there next year!

Well done Khris!

I got you covered on a square Dean.....pick one and I'll get the sticks out to Khris tomorrow.

That is really awesome brother! I appreciate it! Gotta plan a way to meet at one of the big herfs when I get done playing in the sand!

I picked number 45! This makes the entire game that more intense!

Thanks Charlie! :thumbs:

55 boxes left in pool #2. C'mon, invite your friends! (I would, but I don't have any. :laugh: )

There's an idea! Would someone care to sponsor a box for OpFTH, or perhaps a deployed unit near and dear to you?

package finally sent for first game - my two boxes are ID'd in the info I included.

thanks,

Welcome to the 2009 Opus X/Anejo Superbowl Box Pool!

Send your entry fee to me(address is in my profile).

When you send your entry fee please include a note with the following info:

* Your name (real and screen).

* Your current mailing address.

* Your box numbers.

* A list of the cigars you have sent.

Whoever sent me sticks in a box with the return address name Philly Smoke Shop please identify yourself and let me know the above information (minus the address of course).

It would be more than helpful if everyone would please follow the instructions and send this info with their entry. This is about the 5th person I have had to try to track down. I'm sorry, I don't know everyone's name and even the people that I do know I sometimes can't remember. :blush: It is a challenge enough for me when I do have all the info. As I have told others already,(when apologizing for my screw ups) I would not do well with a clerical job. Running this pool takes up many hours of my time and having the info at hand on a note makes it much easier for me to document and organize the info. Future cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Rant off.

Come on, guys and gals! Let's fill up these boxes! If anyone needs help in procuring some sticks for the pool, let me know. I can send them directly to Khris for you.

Because it is clear I had relapsed whn I sent the first package here is the second for the extra squares I picked-

I have two questions.

1.) What if we don't fill the second pool?

2.) Is Carmel picking the numbers again this year? :whistling:

Maybe we could allow Hemingway Maddies/ BTL's? I know I'd pick up a few more squares if that was the case. Though, it IS the Opus/ Anejo bowl...

1)Probably have to offer to let anyone who wishes to back out. Reconfigure the split. I would REALLY rather that didn't happen. If anyone knows anyone on other boards who would like to play via a CP member (putting your name on squares for them and having them send sticks), by all means invite them.

2) Bruce has created a random number generator that is built into the software for the grids so there is no need for Carmella. :( Besides, we haven't seen Carmella around here in almost a year. :(

We could let the second one be a one cigar per square. Let everyone that has a square pick another. Then we would have only a couple of squares left. Split each quarter with 25 smokes. Just a thought.

That sounds like the best idea. Additionally another option, we could then change to pay-out just half-time at 25 and the final at 75, just my

X3. Any updates on what we are doing on the second matrix?

I don't mind the second pool being one cigar per box but I definately don't like it with only two payouts. I'd make the payouts, 12 25 12 50 with the two extra smokes going to the host.

Yeah, I would rather see a payout per quarter. It makes it more interesting to watch.
