New to the cigar world and do not want to start off my new found love with a bad online dealer.
Where would be the best online dealers to buy my smokes from?
Sorry if this has been answered.

Don't restrict yourself to just the "online retailers". There are several trusted dealers who have not been able to invest that much in an online store who will do right by you. Take a look in the Hot Deals forum for posts from good guys like Keystone Raider, Uptown Isy, Hermit11, puffstuff, and several others. I deal with Atlantic Cigars and Famous Cigars a good bit. Since you're new, look to the profiles of the guys mentioned and call them. Each is an experienced tobacconer who can help you make choices.

What he said, I have purchased from just about all listed above and all offer GREAT pricinng and prompt service. I would include Norcal_Mark
over at Tower Cigars another stand up guy with good deals. Him and I have no affliation, just fellow Northerners.
So a new guy comes along and we just throw out "Best 3 online vendors"?

By all means I want them to get business, but that's not my issue. People have to put in their dues, before they'll get any handouts from me.
I have to agree with Tom and it's ridiculous.

I purchase my Davidoff cigars from www.ewbrokers.com. Good service and good prices. They sell Elie Bleu humidors too

Brandon, I understand your position and others, like Bruce, obviously take an opposite one. I've been here the first half of this year now and the "entitlement" comments appear to be a recurring theme with some of the more tenured members. I'm sure I've done/said a lot to irritate folks, but I just wonder what it is exactly that a new member must do to put in their "dues?"
Let's use this thread as an example. A new smoker, as I was 6 months ago, wants to try as many cigars as possible . . . he's found a new obsession. He goes online and finds a board where people talk about cigars. He obviously sees numerous internet sites from which he can purchase cigars. He then notes that some of these sites run in banners across the top of this new cigar forum he has found. He looks around, reads the rules, posts an introduction and fills out his profile. He then makes a post asking what the preferred online vendors (of NC cigars) are and apologizes in his post if the answer has been given already. A couple of older members come on and point him to board members who take care of the community.
Where exactly is there an "entitlement" expectation? I don't see it from the original poster, so is it ridiculous that Bruce and others answered him?
Also, at what point are "dues" fulfilled and by what actions?
This post is not intended as a flame or an attack. These type themes and statements seem to be a source of animosity for the whole board. Maybe if we talk it out the newer guys (like me) will understand the logic behind those type statements.

Dulaney22 presented a fair question and did it in a very professional way, I think it best to allow the more senior members to guide us newbies from there.
