[The Green Monkey]

Given how language barriers and the accuracy of online translators seems to be a popular topic right now, I figured I'd post this mildly amusing site.

You enter a phrase in English, and it will translate it into Japanese, then back into English and back into Japanese as many times as necessary in order to isolate a final phrase that remains unchanged when translated back and forth from one language to the other.

I don't know about him, but if I had to use a translator to post on and read an entire forum, I would shoot my brains out. Especially if you try and decipher Jon's posts. He doesn't even make sense in English.

Alot of time when I post, I simply take a bracing two shots of absinthe, pull out my "Whirly Wheel of Words," and set it up on the wall, much like a dartboard. At this point, usually a trip to the pet store is in order because I've run out of "Nature's Little Clowns," or Russian Dwarf Hamsters as they are more widely known. Anyways, I buy about 11 or 12, divert my wandering eyes from the disapproving cashier, because who is she to judge a man who buys their entire stock of Nature's Little Clowns in 3 days? This is America I say, and I'll sleep wherever I want!

Anyways, after coming home from a nice cold dip in the jacuzzi, I'll usually make a wheat sandwich and pimento paste appetizer platter, and settle down in my down comforter for a satisfying long night of CigarPass. After taking three bracing shots of absinthe, I'll take out my "Whirly Wheel Of Words," set it up on the wall as a dartboard, and become the World's Greateast Ringmaster as my Little Clowns hurl themselves headlong at the wall, striking various words to form copacetic sentences.

It's an exhaustive process, and many give their lives for your pleasure, but in the end it's worth it just to see the smile on my uncle's face. Thank you Andros for your words of wisdom in these trying times. Send love and cigars.

Don't get me started on hex. I waste too much of my entire life staring at hex, binary and assembly...I recently wrote and compiled a transcoder which takes massive hex strings and writes them to binary files. Don't ask me, it's what I was told to do. Just one more ascii transcoder the world doesn't need.
