Pissed about Modern Warfare 2

Get a life you slackers and take care of your wives. I may have to make house calls to take care of business while you play video games

Good call tone-ny. You are too funny.

I haven't touched either the campaign or special ops mode. I really only bought it for the multiplayer. Last night I said one more round at 11:00PM...ended up in bed around 1:00AM. Pretty much haven't got much of anything done since I picked this thing up. Luckily, my lady hasn't started in on me yet, but I did warn her about a week before it came out what was coming. :)

Do not touch Boderlands or Dragon Age instant addiction.

Too late, Dragon Age is already on deck. :)

Your screwed my friend.

lol, that's not the half of it, I've got Fallout 3 to finish and Fable 2, and am going to get Assasins Creed 2 this weekend. :)

Yeah. Don't get me started. I'm still working on those plus Bioshock, Mass Effect, Tekken 6, Tales of Vesparia, Demon souls, Modern Warfare 2 and now we've got L4D2 and AC2. Plus I've yet to play uncharted 2 online. I'll never finish them all.

And with Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 coming out 1st quarter next year, I have to get my a$$ in gear and caught up. To bad I have to work for a living. I'd much rather play for a living. :)

I third this. I just started Dragon Age and only have 9 hours on it, but holy moly is this a good game...

Curses!!

I bought Dragon Age based on Souldog's comment above. Now I'm hooked and have no time to work, eat or perform basic personal hygene. Thanks a lot!!

The game is really addictive. Jonathan finally killed that damn dragon on the mountain very tough battle. ;)

I am having a hard time killing the stupid dragon on top of the mountain top! I've already got the drake scale armor, but I want me some dragonskin!!

Maybe we need to start our own Dragon Age thread... (Lookin' at YOU Don!)

You down 'er yet? That was a hard fight for me too, I lost Alistar and Leliana (SP) half way through and had to have Wynne rez them. The first half of it's HP seemed to take forevery, then I just flew through the last half. I really enjoyed this fight even as hard as it was. I got some nice sceenshots of it too, I think. Other than this one, the first boss battle against the Ogre was exceptionally awesome as well!

Dark Scale armor? I don't believe I came across any yet. Is that found in Orzammar by chance? Oh and if you have the first set of DLC, particularly Soldiers Peak (Warrdens Keep), you get a very nice set of armor from there as well as a permanent storage place for items.

BTW what difficulty you guys playing Dragon Age on? I've been flipping btw easy and normal as need be. This game can be quite hard at times.

Yeah, I killed that stinkin' thing! I finished the Urn of Ashes quest, then went back after getting the drake scale armor made. I fought the dragon the first time and got SPANKED. I was only a level 12 warrior at the time, so I changed up tactics. I had Alistair, Sten, myself, and Morrigan with me. I set them all on aggressive, and took control of Morrigan. Alistair kicked the bucket seconds out of the gate, and I just kept using Morrigan to cast party healing, individual healing, vulnerability hex, life drain, and cone of cold.

The vulnerability hex was awesome because massive damage was dealt by my two warriors for a few seconds, and cone of cold was excellent because it froze the dragon for a few seconds giving them time to get a few extra hits in. I bought the dragon armor and it doesn't look as aesthetically pleasing to me as the drake scale armor, but the protection is worth it.

Now, the Juggernaut Armor is a whole other ball game. That stuff looks awesome on Sten.

Wow, your douche baggery is showing.

Been playing on normal. Right now I am a level 16 rouge. I am in the Dead Trenches and have Dark Spawn jumping me from everywhere.

Yes that armor does look cool on him. I beat it by keeping myself and Sten on aggressive and I had Morrigan and Wynne both passive. Morrigan I had doing damage spells and Wynne healing spells. Kept switching party member every few minutes and having them drink a potion. Finally I jumped on the dragon and stabbed the crap out of it. I want Sten to turn on me again it was fun kicking his ass till he cried like a little biach!!!!

Oh man, do I know what you guys are talking about. I'm having a hard time getting through the second world of the new super mario brothers game... ???

If I wanted immersive I would read a book.

Jim, we all know you can't read...

Tom, I hear ya on the Left 4 Dead game. I played a level or two with Jim online a couple times, and although it was alright, it wasn't breathtaking and it didn't make me see Jesus.

I echo Joe Joe's sentiments in that I am a fan of the zombie genre, but I just can't get into the mindless "point-shoot-rinse-and-repeat" model that is L4D. I tend to prefer to own more tactically sound games that use planning, intelligence, and strategy incorporated into the First Person Shooter genre.

Now before someone jumps my shit and says, "STFU dude, how more tactical and strategical can you get when you're surrounded by 100 zombies and you only have a double barrel shotgun with 30 rounds," that's fine because it works for YOU. I admit L4D was fun to play, and probably just a "renter" for me, but definitely not an owner.

I appreciate immersive story driven games like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Halo, and Rainbow Six. I also appreciate tactical shooters like Rainbow Six, Call of Duty MW, and Flashpoint.

I'm still second guessing CODMW2... Wonder if I should rent it before I open up my copy... ???

Looking at pictures counts as reading, right? And please Jon... don't make it sound like you were not impressed with Left4Dead. I seem to recall playing it with you and you were screaming like a little girl every time a zombie jumped out of a dark shadow! that means it was impressive enough to scare the crap outta you! big bad cop... pssssht! Once again I, as a firefighter, had to save your ass once more. :p

Ok, I'm watching my roommate play dragon age, and I must profess, it looks like WoW's brother who got dropped a few times. From a tall tree. Really, so derivative that I'm honestly uninterested in it at all.

edit: Oh wow, the mage intro level for elves is a blatant ripoff of the mage test from the Dragonlance novels. I hate this game.

Dude, Jimbo, I'm gonna be buying L4D2, I've decided it!

So, after playing a ton of MW2, I'm going to have to say that I didn't think that they could top the first one, but they have for certain. I'm digging being able to have two weapon attachments, the new perks are really well balanced, and the killstreak system is wicked. The sound the AC-130 makes when bombing your ass is scary as hell!

Fast paced, brutal, and utterly addictive. I'm loving the Spec Ops missions too, doing the AC-130 mission with my brother on Veteran was a blast! It actually requires a lot of teamwork, which is awesome.
