I think beads + vinotemp set up where the condensation actually supplies water to the beads is the best way to go. Just use a controller like this for monitoring purposes and that's it. The worst thing that can happen is you lose power and the beads just keep doing their thing. If you want to...

Just get the beads and never have to be concerned with keeping proper humidity again. With my ~75% full 100ct it stays steady at 64-65% with 65% beads.

As with anything else, you usually don't know what you really like until you get a sense of the variety out there. It's a good excuse to go buy a bunch of different cigars and try them all :cool:

Since it's a special occasion, I'd go with a Padron Anniversary Maduro, either of the 1926 or 1964. A bit pricey, but hey it's a good excuse to splurge a little ;)

I have never been into Scotch, but I was at Costco today and remembering this thread I saw that they had Glenlivet 12 y/o so I picked up a bottle. It's nice with a couple small ice cubes. It's a shame I'm seeing a lady friend soon or I'd have a cigar with it....no wait, that's not a shame at...
