    Any car guys here?

1966 Mustang fastback GT. Bought it from the original owner 12 years ago and still use it as my daily ride. There's a pic of it on my website: www.articulate-design.com

    Where are the Austin BOTL's?

Heroes&Legacies (at the Arboretum Shopping Center) is indeed a nice shop. Fairly spacious store and a very nicely stocked walk-in. They even have a walk-in in their walk-in! A very plush, nicely furnished lounge (which is only for members, I believe), and a long covered outdoor porch (for us...

    SEMA SHOW OCT/NOV 07

Don't think I'll be able to attend. But I am designing a booth for someone, and he'll be featuring my automotive paintings. I s'pose it's the next best thing, right?

    Mac users

I started on Macs in 1989 (or '90). I was a designer at a Tennessee packaging firm. They boughht 3 Macs and told the art staff to be proficient in 2 weeks. (No pressure...) The next year we got color monitors! I'm on a G4 currently. And despite it's longevity and lack of problems, I still get...

    Any Vintage Guitar fans here.

I don't belive you're referring to me, but I did just sell a vintage black Strat of questionable pedigree. Late 50's body and mid-50s neck. Still have my '63 sunburst Strat, '54 whiteguard Tele, and 1982 '52 RI blackguard Tele. And I gotta say, that RI '52 out plays them all!

    Man vs. Wild

I've been convinced he's acting for some time now. The episode where he gets sick (with a high fever) and is throwing up... He climbs up a waterfall - with this raging fever - to find a sappling he had noticed the day before. He licks its sap and declares his stomach feels better. And how many...

    GR Specials Red Label

I agree with you wholeheartedly! They're absolutely delicious: very flavorful and nowhere even close to harsh. I feel confident recommending them to fans of mild smokes and full-bodied. Very satisfying.

    Full Bodied Cigars

I agree with what's being said about the Italia vs. the Brazilia. I too find the Italia less "peppery." As for the descriptive terms - I've never made many of the food connections either. Perhaps I simply haven't tried the right sticks, but no cherries and very little coffee come through for me...

    Wrapper discussion

Probably the single most distinctive wrapper (to me, anyway) would have to be the Cameroon. It's difficult to describe it, though. It has as much to do with it's smell as its taste. Some call it a citrus taste; some say it's leathery. As for a brand - many of us favor the Toranos 1916. A...

    Any Men of the cloth?

I know of a book that may be a great comfort and help to you... It's called "The Prayer of Jabez." You can find it at just about any book store. It's pocket-size and an easy read. It's meant to be spread out over several sessions (to devote thought to), but you can make it through in one good...

    Car Enthusiasts?

Yep. Kind of obsessed! Current ride is a 1966 Mustang GT fastback. I'd be tempted to trade it for a '56 Chevy Nomad, though! :whistling:

    American Idol...

Perhaps. But he makes such obvious attempts at gross-outs. Remember when he drank the liquid he sqeezed from the elephant dung? Pointless. And how many times will we see him take a bite out of a still-living fish? Les is the most realistic for me. Plus he performs his own theme music!

    American Idol...

    American Idol...

I too love Digging for the Truth, and all the religious-based studies on Discovery and TLC. But my favorite has to be Mythbusters! It can indeed be educational, but is also just flat-out entertaining. Used to never miss Junkyard Wars either. The last season or two weren't very good; but when it...

    Favorite Donuts...

Here in Central Texas it's Round Rock Donuts or nothing!
