Agreed, Victor is a twisted anti-hero. If I was in an apocalypse situation(not emergency, not survival), would I want Victor along? It would be good to have someone that ruthless on your side, but will he ever be truly loyal to any cause other than his own. I hope he sticks around.

We had chorizo poached in red wine in Spain last year that was really good. Spanish chorizo has a really different flavor than the Mexican variety(less spices and heat). At some point I'm going to have to try and recreate that dish.

Last night made some sausage, bean and swiss chard soup. Homemade venison pan sausage and pork broth, plus fresh chard=yum! Didn't realize it until after I added it, but one of the cans of beans had jalapenos. That gave it a nice zing on a cool wet evening.
