I have the same humidor you are looking at. If I had it to do over I would get cooler and spend extra cash on smokes. That being said I have had no problems with it and it holds RH good with the beads and sheet I put in it. If you have more questions feel free to PM me and I will help if I can.

I have had the same thing happen at times. I cover the bowl with side of lighter or thumb and take a few puffs to get it going. I think LB hit the cause of this happening.
