    Job Interview Question

In my line of work -- web editorial content -- a second interview is usually about figuring out if a candidate is going to fit in with the rest of the team. It's one step beyond the qualifications and on to the person -- the total package interview, perhaps. My suggestion is to do the research...

    Tatuaje

Didn't the man say over the last 3 years it's been EITHER Pepin or Oliva Tobacco Co.? Don't think Santa caught Pete in anything. More like Santa got caught reading too quickly. Slow down, sir, check your list twice.

    Tatuaje

Long live the reds, cello or not. I've had my first box of Reds -- cello'ed Artistas -- since May and they taste fabulous. I may be in the minority, but I think I actually like the Reds better than the Browns ... but probably love the Reserva blends best of all -- said as I am working on a SW...

    Promotion to Major

I don't know a damn thing about grades, ranks or otherwise, but I'd like to say congratulations anyway. It's a nice thing to be recognized for your efforts, talents, and time in the trenches no matter what branch of life you're in. You deserve a good smoke today.

    Grandfather's cliche's

R.I.P. to your grandpa. It's a good thing to get out all the things you remember he said. They will definitely stick with you for life and now you've added a little something to ours. My condolences, and I'll dedicate the rest of my cigar tonight (already lit and burning beautifully) to his...

I think I'm done with Cigarbid

I think this has come up before, but I thought I'd post my thoughts for posterity's sake, if anything. Tonight, I'm sitting in my backyard puffing on a DPG Blue Invicto that I bought from an online vendor. Not even sure if they're one who supports CP, but the price was competitive, they're in...

    My humidor Build

I feel jealous and petty enough to ask how awesome that would have been if you had put in some glass so you could see all your smokes from outside the humi. Nice job on that. I wish I knew a hammer from a screwdriver...

    Series '68 Torpedos

I'm in the midst of working on a Padilla Series '68 torpedo right now and found that after a frustrating first half, I'm enjoying it -- possibly a bit more than the robustos. Just wondering if there's anyone out there that has been smoking these regularly and have good/bad experiences. I got...

New box of Padilla 1932 robustos. Smells like a barnyard.

Padilla Signature 1932 Limitado Oscuro Salomon

Nice review. It's a different smoke, but I tend to have burn problems with the regular blend Padilla 1932 cigars that I get on Cbid. I've had to let them sit for a few months before they behave. Not thinking there's a conspiracy or anything but just thought I'd throw that out there. Oh, and...

    Partagas Lusitanias JUN06

Wholeheartedly agree on these. I've only had one -- think it was a 2007 -- but it blew me away. Seeing your pics is making me realize I must get more of these.

    Double Coronas

I think that's probably the case. If any one has suggestions for other smokes in this size to try, I'm all ears. Thanks.

Tell him. Cigar smoking is all about passing wisdom from one smoker to another smoker.

    Double Coronas

I'm definitely a neophyte on the ISOMs and have been trying to sample what I can. I got my hands on a sampler of double coronas recently and find myself extremely impressed with this vitola. Normally I'm a robusto smoker, with a healthy supply of lanceros that I enjoy. So far I have had a...

    Today's Smoke II

Late Friday night had a Tat Havana VI Angeles at the neighborhood bar's patio. Loved seeing people's shocked faces that a quality cigar doesn't smell nasty. Today had a DPG Black 1979 after pizza dinner. Working on a Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro, accompanied by Ron Zacapa 23, and it is working...

What is your brand of cigars favorite cigars, What vitolas recommend?

I'm a pretty big Padilla whore these days. Followed closely by Don Pepin and Tatuaje. Saying all that, I had a Partagas Lusitania last night that literally blew my mind. Amazing smoke, indulgent size, beautiful experience overall.

    My Scotch Room

Very impressive. The shelf lighting is a nice touch. Hope it doesn't heat up the liquor too much when they're on.

    Review: Don Pepin Garcia, Blue

Happen to be smoking a DPG Blue Generoso right now (with a little of Wild Turkey 80). Love the flavors, but found I need to let these guys rest for months before I really like them, particularly when I buy them from Cbid or CI. Don't know what it is, but that's been my experience. Thanks for...
