Pstan- Ever make it into Tulsa for your shopping? We've got a few good shops here and a couple that are ok. One has some kids working in it and they dont ever offer much help, another has some 20 somethings that work there that seem to have some pretty good knowledge. There is a little combo...
I tried one of these only it wasnt the maduro. I thought it was ok, but I have had better. One of my friends swears by these things though. I guess they are pretty good, but 7 bucks is a little high for them. They would be a good 5 dollar smoke.
I bought a few of the robustos the other day and I swear I didnt pay over 6 bucks. I also bought a toro for maybe 8. Today I saw them at another shop and the robusto was 8.90 and the Toro was around 10 bucks or more. Doesnt this seem high, esp since the the MX2 goes for 5.50 for the robusto?
Anyone have a pic of this cigar? I havent seen these yet, but I will run down to the cigar palace and pick up a few tomorrow. I was never a CAO fan until the MX2, but I will try these out.
Are there any that tell you how long you were at the high/low temp/humidity? Mine shows high and low on both, but I dont know if it dropped to that for a few minutes or several hours.
How often should I turn and rotate my cigars for proper humidification? I was told to turn each cigar evey so often and also move the ones on the bottom to the top and vice versa. Do I need to do this? I have a small humidor that holds maybe 100 cigars.
The last two cigars I have smoked out of my humidor have burned quicker on the inside than the outside. One was a Padron thousand series that had been in my humidor for a few days, the other was a cigar that had been in my humidor for at least a month. I recently started using a new passive...
I have had several of the robustos and havent had any problems. I think they are more of a medium mild flavor though. I will have to try another size and compare.
A friend of mine was telling me about a great cigar he had about 5 years years ago. It was called a Leonardo and had a large colorful band. He said it was a big cigar and he only had one or two and hasnt been able to find anymore. Can anyone help me out?
Can somebody explain the difference between the Don Carlos, Hemmingway, and regular (green band) Fuentes? I have tried all three, and the Don Carlos and Hemingway seem to have a stronger more complex flavor, but I like the regular ones better. How many different blends do they have?
I have seen several comments about anejo fuentes. What are they? I dont know exactly what an anejo cigar is, but I have heard the term before. I love fuentes, but I have never seen them before.
I always write down as much info as I have in a little book, then when I smoke the cigar I glue the band next to the description. This way you have a quick reference to your favorites.
My suggestions
Montecristo white label
Macanudo gold leaf- mild, but pretty good
Fuente- Any of the ones with...
