Thanks for all the well wishes, guys! I had a great day. Relaxed, smoked a Stanford's 90th and drank more than my fair share of beer and fine scotch. Also finished my bottle of Dalwhinnie 29 with a few buddies. Seemed only appropriate to do so.
HA, you don't forget anything! Unfortunately he moved so no BLL for me! :(
I agree, Abyss is freakin awesome. This is actually a good excuse to open an original release. I can't wait to try the 2009 release, all of their Reserve Series beers have been amazing.
Well gents, this weekend I say so long to my 20's and hello to my 30's. About a week ago I started rooting through the cellar trying to decide what "coveted" beer I would drink to celebrate. So, here's the question... If you could drink any beer to celebrate one of life's great events, what...
Thanks for the offer Mikey but I already had it packed up and ready to go.
Dave, your buddy is lucky to have good friends like you to take care of him! Hope he has a great bday.
Well the Avery IPA kicked the bucket so I replaced it with another killer Colorado IPA, Modus Hoperandi from Ska Brewing. Modus is really similar to Blind Pig, very hop forward, slightly sweet but definitely on the piney bitter side.
Here is a rundown of the kegs I have had since I put this...
Well Dave, you are in luck. I have one bottle left and it is yours. Consider a gift since I too will be turning 30 in less than 2 weeks and I sympathize with your friend think he should drink the best on that big day. Just hit me with the address for shipping.
Get ready boys, this should be another excellent blend from FW. I also heard that they might, MIGHT, have bottled offerings of Parabola and Abacus at the release party.
I have the Weber Smokey Mountain and smoke a couple of times a month. Since I am putting the time and effort into it I try to smoke as much meat as possible each time. I usually do a full brisket on one rack and two boston butts or 4 racks of ribs on the other rack.
I am guessing 8-10. And yeah everyone who comes should bring something and its no big deal if its rare or not. Having good beers, sours or not and rare or not will be nice and make for a better tasting.
Yeah man. The first time I had one I loved it so much I started trading for them every chance I could. At one point I think around had 17 but have since drank a few and traded a few. Hopefully it holds up for a while.
