Looks like there will be a pretty decent crowd for this tasting, I am not sure it would be worth opening 375ml bottles as the sample sizes would be an ounce or less. What do you guys think? And BTW Matt, yes, I think there will be a better crowd than last year unless Alex and Bruce want to be...

Yeah Mike, it was a helluva weekend. If it had been my first time sampling 11 I would just say its an incredible beer but having had it 6 times since the release I can say that its peaking or close to it and you should start planning to drink it within the next 6-12 months. That's what my plan...

Had a great beer drinking weekend, the highlight of which was a Firestone Walker Anniversary vertical 10, 11 and 12 that we enjoyed to celebrate my brothers first child. I have had the 11 and 12 several times but this was my first time trying 10 which has been saved for the past couple of years...

Justin you are right, $85 a night is a promotional non-refundable rate. I double checked and the cheapest refundable rate you can get is $108.00. The normal rate is $150 a night so $85 is a smokin deal.

Guys, I did some checking and the Sheraton that is less than half a mile from the Colorado Convention Center where GABF is held, has rooms available and on sale for $85 a night! I would suggest making a reservation even if you aren't sure you are coming yet, this hotel always sales out. You can...

We are going to the Thursday night session and then planning a pub/brewery crawl on Friday and a BBQ HERF on Saturday. It works out well because they usually run out of certain beers by the Friday session and Thursday there are less frat boys running around.

You should be able to buy single tickets, where are you looking? I think there are enough of you coming that it shouldn't be a problem finding someone to split a hotel with. If the wifey leaves town that weekend with the kids my house is an option as well although it is out in the burbs. :thumbs:

I was really excited about this beer. I love their regular IPA and Hercules their DIPA so how could oak aging it go wrong? It started off nice, beautiful deep red in color. Aroma and taste were both solid but nothing amazing. It was good but somewhat of a let down based on the high expectations...

Bell's is an excellent brewery. A few of my favorites of theirs are the Expedition Stout, Two Hearted Ale and HopSlam. Its hard to go wrong with any of their beers sans the Oberon.

That is a good question, if it had any sweetness to it I would think it would have potential. it still definitely could age well but it is so one sided and bitter I doubt it.
