Unless you really love 80 proof bourbon, skip the BH, and get Old Grandad Bonded or 114. It's the exact same juice as BH at a higher proof. BH is aged about 6 years, OGD is 4 years. I think the higher proof matters more than the extra 2 years of age. Oh... and OGD is half the price.
I have the Food Saver and use it pretty regularly. Bags are easy to find at most big box stores. Biggest thing to check for is how well which ever one you buy seals "moist" items. I usually have to put a folded paper towel between the meat and where the machine seals. If moisture gets in...
Turns out I wasn't done. Decided to put a few coats of spar urethane on it for more weather proofing. Really made it pop with a nice shine that brought out the color even more.
