Our Hazy IPA worked out well, but I didn't get the purple color I was looking for out of the corn. I didn't do any research on what the compound is and how it responds to pH. Might use my Christmas money for some upgrades in the brewery.

I posted this earlier but it got better. At the Istanbul Marathon on Sunday, I set a new personal record time. It was 5:46 based on the gun time, but on the mat time, which adjusts for the time it takes from the starting gun until you reach the starting line, I did it in 5:39. This is about 13...

Happy Birthday

There were no miles on my birthday, but today, a day later, I ran the Istanbul Marathon. I got my best marathon time at 5:46. I smoked two cigars to celebrate, a Padron 45 and a Power Ranger. Editted to add: Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.

My son and I made a chocolate milk stout and have a hazy IPA in the secondary to bottle this weekend. Next up is an oatmeal stout of sorts.

I had a conference in St. Louis one year and as I tend to do, reached out to CP members in the area. Larry picked me up at my hotel and took me to lunch with his local cigar smoking friends. I had a great time with them.
