It's definitely the best quality of the beer...the bottle. I sampled it at a local store I frequent and while it's a decent beer I couldn't justify spending $20 on it. The carbonation is crazy like a champagne but it's not as intense in flavor like I would have thought.
From the things I've read this is a common myth. Do you think a beer is kept the same temperature the entire time from the brewery to the distributor to the store to you? I will say that big temperature swings are to be avoided as much as possible though. Don't leave a beer in your car to...
Pretty sure Terrapin isn't available in LA. New Orleans just got Saint Arnold which is a good TX brewery so I'm sure it will be in other LA markets soon. I'm sure they also have the usuals like Stone, Rogue, or Dogfish Head. My advice is to just go to a store that has lots of craft beer and...
As a popular local DFW radio station says on one of their promos:
It's always sunny in Philladelphia, especially if you like a guy who was 0-2 in the 2010 World Series!
LOLOL
The Rangers will be fine without him...they led their division by 10 games before he even showed up. Hopefully they...
I liked your first post better, Justin.
The only reason I brought up BA was because Jon said DL was the hardest beer in the world to get which was far from the truth. Around here? Maybe but if you really want one there are plenty of other options at your disposal. It was only an...
In the world? I see it get traded on beer advocate all the time. Something like Black Tuesday from The Bruery is MUCH harder to find which is why I joined the Bruery Reserve Society for next year. There are tons of special limited beers that are harder to find than Dark Lord...not saying DL...
I've had tar on Padrons, Tatuajes, Fuentes, etc. One of the worst was a Padron 40th maduro that went from great flavors to damn near nothing and any amount of cutting the tar off wouldn't fix it...I was indoors as well so it was probably in the 70s. Pretty disappointing when you spend $20 on a...
Just finished a Pelican Mother of All Storms...an English Barleywine aged in Evan Williams Bourbon Barrels. Probably one of the best barrel aged barleywines I've ever had!
Ahhhh I thought you had posted that you were in Houston. Yeah any Specs in Houston or surrounding area should have plenty of good craft beer. They should have a few limited Boulevard beers like Bourbon Barrel Quad and Dark Truth right now. Good luck with the Buttweiser swilling rednecks... :)...
He was mistaken. I would have been VERY surprised if he could have just walked into a store anywhere in Illinois and bought bottles today. Seems like people are getting more of the Rare than the Vanilla.
