I had the Best Seller tonight.............. mmmmmmmm great from start to finish. thanks for all the input, I am learning a lot already by being here for sure!!
Okay.......... lets see if I can get a picture to load in here.................
As you can see there is enough room for the humidor and the rack up at the top (sorry for the flash). Its in its 7th hour of seasoning and the temperature inside the humiodr is 68 at the moment and the RH at 80%...
That would be about right then. Set at 60 on the cooler, both temp gauges are at 68 and have been for two days now. No biggie as i will keep a gauge where I can see it thru the door once it is complete. I will try and figure out how to post some pics when I get done.
My spanish cedar arrived today. I also went ahead with the three tray humidor I listed above via a link from cigarextras.com. This will give me enough room for 250 smokes plus I should still be able to place one rack at the top for four bottles of wine for mama ;).
They are the Naturale. I found them today at my local cigar shop!! Had me one too and it was good. I did decide that the little "sweetness" was from some other smokes in my humidor, but it was still a great smoke right out of the box! Thanks so much for your help!
This is EXACTLY what the band looks like http://www.coronacigar.com/products/cigars...p?productId=136
Problem is i don't really see the size I thought mine was?? Maybe it was a Naturales Cameroon? I like Robusto in size as a rule so I know it was longer than a Robusto and maybe a tad thinner on...
I just smoked one of these that has been sitting in my humi for probably 4-5 years. What a great smoke (for me)!! Smooth and slightly earthy with tons of thick white smoke, nice light gray ash that clung until I decided it was time to go, and a little sweetness to it (maybe merged with another...
I will do that. What about the temperature though. Have you noticed the reading inside not matching the digital read out on the unit itself? 7-8 degrees difference seems like a lot.
Hello again everyone!
I have had my wine cooler plugged in for a few days now. The digital readout on the cooler itself reads 62-63 degrees everytime I have checked on it for 3 days straight. I have two digital hygrometers with temperature readout and they both read 70 degrees. My RH shows 54...
I had a thought from reading another topic here. what if I bought one of these
http://www.cigarextras.com/index.asp?PageA...D&ProdID=53
and then insert it into the cooler from Target? The door is glass, opens from the front and has a hygrometer right up front so you could read it without...
Good points. Seems to not have a pattern. Maybe the RH is the factor. I run mine a litle drier if possible due to the ambient humidity here but that could be a factor. Once my cedar arrives I'll see if i can get it to hold a little higher. Thanks for the input! :)
Hello. Im new here and found this site and forum by looking for this very type of cigar storage! I wanted to know if I could buy a wine cooler and convert it and WHAM, here it is!! I live in Florida and have problems with my smokes reacjing 80 degrees in the summer even though they are inside my...
