Well here's my first post on the forum, so I'm sure I'm starting off on a good foot by starting my discussions with ACID's. Give me a second while I put on my flak jacket here. Anyway...I just took up smoking again after not for many years. I have many favorite "traditional cigars" such as AVO XO's, Padron Aniversario's...etc. But when I took up smoking again a couple of months back I became addicted to ACID's right away. (do they put crack in them? ) Long story short...I purchased my first humidor (75-100 sticks), for the purpose of storing only ACID cigars (I can see members eyes rolling already...). Now before other non ACID smoking members start flaming me...I ordered an identical humidor yesterday for my AVO's, Henry Clay's, Don Pepin's, Ashton's...etc (see...I'm not completely crazy). But back to my original question. In an ACID ONLY humidor...do you think I should keep all my cigars wrapped in cellophane or unwrap them the same way I would with a humidor filled with traditional cigars? The humidor is filled to capacity with different ACID lines. I'm curious if being in close proximity to each other would affect taste?

Thanks!

Cello Breaths so it does not matter as for the Acids

Yes, it will. Ever try the acid tin? Then you know what I'm talking about. Keep the cello on, and consider investigating cheaper storing methods for them.

I don't see a reason to age an acid, correct me if I am wrong. With that going, if they aren't packed together for to long, then they should be okay.

I used to like Acids, too.... until I smoked my first real cigar, a Padron 2000 :)

I don't think you're gonna find out much info here since not many people here smoke Acids. I would say that as long as you're not keeping them in there for years on end you shouldn't have a problem...

Now go on over to the Intro Forum and properly introduce yourself before you get a lashing...

That question might be a first for CP. I would assume the flavors of them all would marry together changing the original flavor. It does that with real cigars so I don't see the why it would be a different case here.

Thanks for the replys. Note that I do smoke REAL Cigars...which is the reason for the second humidor that's coming. Just so other members don't brow beat me. My traditional cigar collection stands at"

A. Fuente Anejo #48
AVO XO's
Ashton Heritage
Don Pepin My Father
Henry Clay (not sure exact lineage) aged 8 years
Padron Aniversario Exclusivo's on their way
CAO Cx2 (samples)

Does that make it ok to talk to me???

It's nice to see a fellow ACID lover. I started on ACIDs, and quickly realized they take the back seat to some of the sticks I have had the opportunity to burn through. I still enjoy an ACID every once in a while though.
I wouldn't sweat leaving them in your humi packed together, it will take a while for the flavors to marry. Welcome to CP though

You know, we may bag on Acid smokes, but ask any B&M owner that sells them what his most popular smokes are. You may be surprised to find that Acids sell very, very well. So, the long and short of it is that lots of people smoke them. "Smoke what you like, like what you smoke"...right...??

This really isn't a question about Acids but (if I read it right) is more a "cello on / cello off" question. Same answer applies; cello breathes and provides wrapper leaf protection. I leave it on all my smokes. Recommended.

Good job on the separate humi for Acids. Yes, their flavors will migrate somewhat so the more space you can keep between them, the better. Once you've used that humi for Acids, you never, every want to use that humi for anything else. Clove cigarettes or incense, maybe.... :p

I could launch into a tirade on the unholy horror that is unique to Acid's.....but I think I'll stop before I get on a real roll.....

Good luck - B.B.S.
