Livin' the retired life!
started out below zero, never got warmer than 5, and that's me in the water facing the camera. Plungers got to get into the hot tub seconds after jumping, but I was there for a couple of hours - and it was cold. But, lots of fun, especially when the bikinis needed... ahem... assistance getting up the icy ladder. Raised a ton of $ for Special Olympics, but sadly due to the relationship with the mayor we were not allowed to jump in on duty... can't be seen raising money for charity on duty so we don't show favoritism. Last year a collection was taken up from all the people watching and raised $1200 just to see the safety divers jump in... without the safety diver gear! (We could not even do fill the boot on duty - only off duty personnel allowed)
