Well, in my opinion, it is a Swiss Army Knife with cigar scissors attached to one end. Ba-Dum! :D Seriously, I have admired these myself, but have not yet taken the plunge. I think some of the guys may have done a group purchase on one of the swiss army cigar cutter models. I am sure that one of them will be able to provide some info.

Take care, Bacchus

Thoughts?

Been desiring one of these myself now for awhile and the price isn't all too bad!

IMO, it is one of the best cutters around. I have used that very cutter for 2 years and it cuts as good today as when it was new. I have 4 or 5 different Xikars cutters that never see the butt of a cigar because I prefer the SAK cutter so much more.

This is the "slimline" pocket model and fits in the pocket much better than their other models with all the extra gadgets. I did a GB on this model a few months ago except it was their brushed stainless steel model instead of the red. Unless you want the extra gadgets make sure its the "slimline" model.

thanks...my wife asked me for some ideas for things to get am for x-mas as stocking stuffers...i think this would be perfect :D :D :D

I have the exact same SAK except its the Stainless version (that was the group buy a while back). If its Christmas I'd look for stainless slimline, it really looks sharp. One thing to keep in mind is how you will be using it. The slim line fits in the pocket much better then the bigger ones, but on the other hand it's not big enough for some of those larger ring gauges. If you don't plan to take it with you in a pants pocket all the time, say a cutter for next to the humi, then I would reccomend a larger model.

My other SAK is a full size leather inlaid luxury model. Not nearly as conveinent for a pocket, but fits in the travel humi nicely and does better with the larger sized sticks. Even then it doesn't get the monsters so keep a guiletine handy, but for most duties its perfect. Also has a corkscrew and some other goodies. I don't drink wine often so its the only cork screw I have in the place.

Both of my SAK's are extreamly sharp, have a good solid feel while cutting, and generally do a great job.

Hope that helps.

I have the brushed stainless one from the GB and recently got the 19th hole SAK. They both work great. I still use my Xikar most of the time though :D

I missed the group buy on the SS model and have been kicking myself in the head. So if anyone else is interested I'd be up for either the SS or the Red model.

The SS model was charp lookin but was also more expensive.

Maybe, just as long as my SACK gets no where near the cutters of that SAK...

Yeh we wouldn't want you to loose anything in that sack now ;)

LOL

Count me in on a new group buy. Have the golf model, would like one of the smaller ones.
