Sticks 39 and 28 are home.

I really like the packaging. Ingenious and it worked!
If all 20 work as well, we may just be on to something! :D

Thanks

Punch Gran Puro Pico Bonito 6.00x50 $3.00

Appearance: Good

AppearanceNotes
Veiny, nice mid-brown wrapper, looks like a light colored maduro

Construction: Fair

ConstructionNotes
Nicely packed, wrapper split at foot upon lighting, a little unraveling after about 2 inches

Burn: Even
Problems: Split/Unraveled
AshColor: Light Grey
AshStructure: Typical
Draw: Perfect
Aroma: Fair
Smoked_To: To the Band
Strength: Medium
Recommended: No
Scale: Ho-Hum
Class: Regular

TasteNotes
Initial taste was peppery, settled into a nutty, woody flavor. The first inch was borderline mild/medium. After that first inch, it turned a solid medium. It didn't really do much in terms of complexity.

OverallNotes
A rather boring cigar. I smoked it somewhere between half-way and the band. If this hadn't been smoked for the Blind Taste Test, I probably would've chucked it after about 2 inches. The construction problems really detracted from the experience. A second attempt is definitely needed. Smoke was a little lighter than I prefer, taste was a little too earthy. Just didn't do much to keep me interested. Initial impression was that of a domestic Punch… something like a Gran Puro. Perhaps a maduro HdM. Doesn’t appear to be a bundled cigar. I'll say about $5-6 max.

The Manufacturer Said: The Punch Gran Puro is a genuine puro cigar. "Puro," in cigar parlance, means that all of the tobacco used in the crafting of the cigar's blend is from a single nation - in this case Honduras. It is a medium-to-full-bodied smoke with a spicy, earthy core and a creamy finish that is unmistakably Honduran.

From SD: Dang Phishy! You nailed the Brand Bro. ;)

Awesome. I just wished it hadn't cracked on me. :(

$3.00? Dang... my local shop carries these for quite a bit more. For $3, I'd definitely try it again.

Thanks again for letting me do this. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Going into a cigar without any predisposed opinions is quite refreshing. I can't wait to do the 2nd one.

I'd say this one costs around 4-5 bucks from a cigar store. THe prices listed are by the box at cheap-ol' JR's! :p
