I have a membership to Massage Envy and I have about 10 accrued massages that I have paid for but haven't used. They are telling me if I cancel my membership, I will lose them all.

How they deny a service that has already been paid for?

You’ve accrued them as free massages through a point system, or you have already pre-paid for 10 massages outright?
I get charged for one one-hour massage per month and then use them as I wish. I haven't used a lot lately so I have 10+ pre-paid.

Maybe 10 pre paid massages can be traded for one grand slam massage with a happy ending. Is this establishment located in a strip mall with a nail salon and a laundromat?

They are a nationwide chain ...... but they have been sued multiple times for similar practices.
You could always sell then to Watson.
He only goes for the "tug". And I'm guessing he pays more than $70/month.😁

You can be sure you signed an agreement with them when you started. It probably said "anything not used before termination of your membership will be lost"

Right on their website

Well, that brings up another issue.
  1. I am a founding member from 2006 and was guaranteed $49/month for life. They changed that after about 9 years, to $69/month, and settled a class action lawsuit as a result, which I did not participate in. So I never signed a "new" contract with them.
  2. I don't think any contract, signed or not, can permit them to deny services which have already been paid for.
