Welcome to the Carolina Blue Pass!


I'd like to welcome you guys to my second pass, the Carolina Blue Pass. The name is derived from my love for the North Carolina Tarheels and their quest for a college basketball National title this year. Needless to say, the contests will revolve around college basketball since the pass will be hitting it's stride during March Madness. This is an invite only pass with the original 10 invites going to guys that have given me a chance to participate in one of their passes, or in one case, the Leaf Fund. One spot was open to a newbie to get their feet wet in a pass with established embers, and the other spots went to guys I've herfed with or have interacted with a great deal here on the board. I'm honored to have each and every one of you in my pass and look forward to fun, learning, great cigars, and more fun! The pass will Go out either this Saturday or the following Monday. Before Pass Arrives
Be sure you are available. Follow the Pass, and post / PM that you are ready to receive the package when it's your turn.
If you will be out of town, please let me know and I'll try to work around it.

Pass Arrives
When the pass arrives, inventory it, and inspect the condition of the cigars and package, ensuring everything is correct and in good shape.
Publicly post your puts & takes.
Update the hard copy of the cigar contents (Put & Take List)


Shipping It:
Check and make sure the next guy in the pass is available via pm.
Make sure you have put the baggies, papers, pens, humidifiers, etc - back in the pass with the exception of your takes.
Pack it up and make sure there is no movement in the container and no movement within the larger box itself.
If the box is damaged and if you can replace it, please do so.
Use the address on the hard copy print out unless told otherwise.
Make sure you get delivery confirmation and post it when you ship the pass to the next person


Equal for Equal, Rarity for Rarity, ISOM for ISOM, NC for NC, 1 for 1. Standard rules for trading.

Here's the pre-pass contest.
Open to all members....give me your prediction on the 2 teams playing in the Super Bowl and the final score and the person closest to the correct teams and score will get a nice undetermined 5'er from me. No edits and all posts must be made by Thursday the 17th at 6 pm est...no exceptions. Good luck guys and make sure you pay attention to the other guesses so you don't guess the same answer!
