My new toy...
Still love my Palio but I will be carrying the Havana Clipper everyday. I don't usually carry the Palio unless I know I'm gonna smoke.
The new cutter won't cut a very large ring gauge unless you use the 'circumcision' method without the hole (Thanks Wilkey! I love this cut style!).
The little sucker is sharp as hell and should provide a lifetime of enjoyment!
As I put it to more use I will update this thread.

Wow, cool! I've never seen one. I hope you'll demonstrate it the next time you're here for a porch herf.

Wilkey

Good looking and all purpose! Nice pick up!! Now who makes it, and how much? :D

Interesting! Thanks for the link, is it as small as it looks?? The pictures kind of look distorted on size, but some look like it is that small??

It is pretty small.
The size of the cutter hole is slightly smaller then a dime.
That should give you some perspective.

Looks cool!

Care to elaborate on the above highlighted text. Are you just scoring the cap and peeling it off or what? Educate me, please.

That's a KILLER price Rob! I was going to carry the Al Mar knives but the wholesale was $50 on that knife!

Nice snag bro!

Thanks, Wilkey! I'll have to give that a try next time I have a smoke. Looks a little safer than chopping through the whole thing all at once.

I can't seem to find the thread I posted in but here's a picture sequence.

Thanks Mark! But I still love my Palio you hooked me up with!
Wilkey, thanks for explaining the circumcision method to LB.
Thanks to all who appreciate the cutter!
Now if I see any of you guys with one I'll have to beat you up!

Update.

I dig the new purchase. It doesn't cut torpedos, belicosos or perfectos, unless you just slice them. The hole is very shallow if you do choose to use it. The guide hole is very small, 42 ring gauge cigars are probably the max, perhaps a 44 RG will fit.
The blade is ridiculously sharp.
While not being the most practical or efficient cutter it still is damn cool. It is a handy pocket knife too!
I still need to do more 'testing'.

Would you suggest that this method is looked upon by the more seasoned smokers as a better method of cutting?

Wilkey

Perhaps a better image:

Looks like the hole for the cigar is a maximum of about 3/32" deep. I see where the difficulty would be, wonder why they didn't open it all the way through?

So we had Christmas tonight with my side of the family and this is one of the gifts I received. I had never seen or heard of it, but my dad heard it was a pretty nice little cutter and snagged it for me. It is probably the sharpest blade I have ever seen and seems to be very well made. I am excited to see how it stacks up against a few sticks.

Sorry Rob, you aren't the only one that has one although I didn't mean to! How how she held up for you, any progress reports?

An update on my cutter!
I lost the darn thing... Actually it got confiscated!
I went to the courthouse to pay some parking tickets and I forgot I had it attached to my money clip. The security guard took it even though the knife is tiny.
I liked the knife but I am not going to replace it.
So enjoy it DD!

Damn that sucks Rob! I have had many a cutter/leatherman/you-name-it confiscated in the name of homeland security. I will definitely use it and cut a nice stick in memory of your lost goods. :p
