So I was walking through Walmart a while back and they had the 48Qt Igloos for $20 bucks. I thought to myself, “Self, you haven’t tried that yet”! After reading all 7 pages of the “Cooler-dor 101” thread 10 or 12 times, I ordered some SC shelves and some beads (which I’ve also not used before). After a couple weeks of playing with the humidity and getting comfortable with the beads, I moved some stuff into it today. I am keeping it in the guest bathroom because it’s the coolest room in the house (we don’t have basements in Florida). As I get more boxes, I’ll pull the shelves out, but for now I wanted them in there to help maintain/recover humidity.

I have 3 Govee’s inside, basically so I can watch what’s going on, and hopefully learn something new!

Here are my current readings:
Top - 70.5° & 66.7%
middle - 71.0° & 65.6%
Bottom - 70.3° & 65.0%

I’m extremely happy so far! Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Cooler-dor thread, the information there made the whole process very easy!

You're gonna need a bigger cooler.

I’ve already toyed with that idea…I just can’t imagine I would need one of the 150Q coolers for long term aging. I’ll be 60 I a couple weeks, and I got into the cigar game late, so 20 year storage would put me into my 80’s. Honestly, I hope I don’t live that long!

....more storage..?? First step off the cliff, brother...... 🤣
Trust me brother, this is not even close to the first step of needing more storage! 😂

Nice work Dawg!

Very nice! I don’t use them any more but they work great, no doubt about it.

@hydro-terp is right, though. Craig’s list has deals on wine or beverage fridges (his gorgeous conversion was free!) and they are every bit as stable as coolidors or tupperdores, in my experience. But that’s a great coolidor setup.
