Damaged cigars at delivery

I got a delivery today. Sweet cubans! :love:

However, some of the cigars were damaged because they were not properly packed. Retailer had put 20 cigars in a 25 cigar box so some of them had room to move around. So, cigars rolled around and 6 of them (second picture) had damaged wrappers of wich 2 of them so badly that it will affect smoking. And almost all of them had worn out tips (first picture).

What do you think, am I an ass to complain about damages this big (or small)? I'm going to call my retailer tomorrow to ask some kind of compensation. Cigars you just bought should not look like those, after all. Also, should I only complain about cracks on wrappers or worn tips too?
 
FYI - when I click on your pictures to enlarge them, I get a giant loud ad for Adult Friend Finder, and lots of nude pics at the top of the screen. You may want to mark your pics as NSFW.
 
I don't think that the supplier should have shipped the cigars like this, but you will be clipping the head of the torp. off anyway so you could definitely bring it to their attention and see if they offer an exchange.

On a more important side note for the members here, when I clicked on your pictures it brought up an adultfriendfinder.com advertisement, as well as small images of naked women/people having sex above your picture. Please make sure to put a heads up to the other members that clicking your picture for a closer view will result in NWS pictures coming up. Nobody here wants to get in trouble while trying to help you.

I'm not trying to be rude, simply a friendly request. Good luck with your cigars, whatever route you go.

Seriously, Tom's right....That's got to be the weirdest photo hosting I've seen. Need to mark it not safe for wives too. :)

I'd contact the vendor. He should offer to make it right without you having to ask. Let us know how it goes down.

Oh great, I should have read the whole thread before hitting the pics. I don't mind the NSFW but adultfriend finder is the worst, they always sneak some spam or spyware whenever their adds pop up. I don't know how many times I have found adultfriendfinder spam on my computer. :rolleyes:
 
I'd make a complaint and ask for compensation or replacement smokes. You ordered a product, and that product arrived damaged due to their improper packaging.

Also, try using Photobucket.
 
Flickr.com is another good hosting site. I'd ask for an exchange of the sticks if the cracking in the wrapper was a big enough problem, the blunted caps are not such a big deal though.

In all seriousness, I get that all the time with the heads being dented, you cut them anyway, the other cracking is a problem though.
 
My vendor asked to send them back for replacement. I sent the 5 most damaged. Of course the case isn't closed until I get undamaged cigars back.
