do you punch your cigars or cut them?

I have an 11mm punch that I like to use on Robustos and smaller. Anything larger gets cut.

I have smoked with some very sophisticated smokers in singapore and hong kong. They all use a punch for the larger ring gauges as they say it protects the cap. They use a scissors on the smaller gauges, El Fuilero

I find I've been liking the punch quite a bit more lately. I'm looking at getting a multi size punch very soon.

I prefer to cut but i have a bunch of lighters that have a punch on it and will use if i forget my cutter. I think im gonna grab a Xikar multi tool today and give that a whirl.
