Happy Thread

We're nearly two months since the tornado and all of the trees have been dealt with, and the last of the brush and stumps burned.

The new windows and siding arrived, and we had a perfect day. Everything went together well, including the windows - three singles, and a double.

Got everything done, cleaned up, and sat down to a nice cigar.

I picked up a powered PC fan kit, for the cabinet last week and installed it on Friday evening. I placed it on the middle shelf and set it to run at very low RPMs, to just pull some air from the bottom and push it to the top. After just about 4 or 5 hours, I saw the humidity range go from a 5% swing down to just ~1% between the top shelf and the bottom shelves. For ~$40, I think it is money well spent.

Before the fan kit is on the left and after is on the right. This is from the bottom shelf on the opposite side of the humidifier. I'm very happy with the results of this and it worked better than I expected. I was originally thinking that I may need to add a second fan kit to get results. I don't think that will be necessary now, though.

Finally got a killer sourdough going. Making the most delicious bread!! Love is in the air!!
I love making sourdough. I do sandwich bread every weekend, and often do pancakes or waffles on Sunday mornings. Also do pizza crusts regularly, and have done buns, bagels, and english muffins.

I like the crusty, round loaves, but no one else in the house does, so I don't really make those all that often anymore. Though now I think I may do a small one next weekend just for me!
