First significant snowfall scheduled to hit today, starting this afternoon and go through Sunday. Way too many "professionals" providing way too many ranges. I've heard 10-12 inches, I've heard 10-18 inches and I've heard 20+ inches. I love the snow, to be honest. We just don't get it enough around here and everyone freaks out.

I was able to get firewood yesterday and went to Wal Mart early this morning. Surprisingly, they had most things, but no milk/bread and what eggs they did have, were the free range/brown for $8/dozen. I'll just make sourdough all weekend and into next week. I looked across the parking lot and the damn liquor store was open at 8am, so I couldn't pass that up. Got some Sailor Jerrys, 1792 Full Proof and a James E Pepper bottle. Neighbor has already sent the wife/I a test saying he got stuff for Margaritas, Bloody Marys and Old Fashioneds.

I know I'll survive the snow, but my liver might not survive this weekend 😂
Send it this way please. This winter sucks.

A couple years ago I had my dog at the vet and while I was waiting a guy came in with his lab that had eaten something, but still had stitches in its belly from the removal of something else it had eaten.
Our old lady has had her belly incision cut into three times (original and then two others through the same scar). Between the surgeries and the false alarms, we are well over $20K just since being back in Hawaii. I feel for that dude, as I'm sure he is doing all he can.

(*edit* I'm watching this elder dog, who was born and grew up as a begging street dog who slept unsheltered in the cold and the rain in a former Soviet bloc state, now sprawled against my leg without a care in the world on a warm, soft bed living out her years with a loving family in tropical Hawaii... and I know it was all worth it.)
