For AVB, "All your base are belong to us" comes from an old Japanese-created video game whose translators were not quite with it when it came to English.
(You can even Google the phrase.)
 
Amazing that a whole phenom like that could go completely un-noticed. Interesting read on it here.

That's exactly right. It's from an old game called Zero Wing and that phrase turned into a cult phenomenon over the internet though out game boards and newsgroups.

I'm going to check out the NWO. Thanks for the link.
