Hey All!
New guy here... just thought I'd drop in and say 'hi' (Hi!)
I'm always looking for new ways to enjoy one of my hobbies (cigars!) and that led me here. I'm in Anchorage, Alaska so if any one else is from here (poor bastards! - actually, I LOVE it here...) say Hi. It's been awhile since I was at a herf locally...

Always looking for recommendations from more knowlegable people than I (most everyone... :whistling: ) about good smokes... I prefer a medium to full bodied smoke, and I was just recently turned onto CAO Brazilia's and La Gloria Cubana Series R. If you have another recommendation, I'm ready with a pen and paper!

Thanks for listening, and see y'all around the boards!

Howdy Jim and welcome to CP from Sunny Central Florida. The CAO Brazilia's and La Gloria Cubana Series R are both great cigars. A couple of other great smoke you might want to try is the AVO Signature Double Corona and the A.F. Hemingway Classic. I'm sure you won't be disappointed....... :)

Welcome Jim. I'm envious, I have always wanted to make a trip to AK. One day I plan to drive all the way from Michigan, I think it would be a great trip.

Enjoy your time here, theres lot's of great people here with boatloads of info.

Hey Jim welcome aboard! From a neighbor just to the south of you in Washington. If you ever get down here you'll have to call.......

welcome to CP.

I'll throw out a recommendation for any vitola from the Padron Aniversario line (preferably in a maduro wrapper). Or for a less expensive, but still wonderful experience, the Padron 2000, 3000 and 5000's (maduros) are hard to beat in their price range.

...and then, of course, there is Padron's Serie 1926 line.

enjoy!

Welcome from Illinois!!!

I also suggest the Gurkha Masters Select XO (huge ring gauge, but a great smoke in your taste range). Also, the new Gurkha Ancient Warrior is a lot like the CAO Brazilia, but less "sour", IMO.
