Well this is my first post here figured a post on the current project was fitting. I'm building a large desk humidor. 22x 12.5 x 7.5. The fun part will be filling it!

Never thought about magnets. Just the weight of the lid

What types of wood? Looks like the top is a burl of some sort. I'm eventually going to build something similar but intending on milling it from one solid log piece of walnut.

I have thought about doing that, but this one took a month to build so I'm not quick, haha.
