iPass Blues Pass

Welcome to the iPass Blues "Super Mega Colossal Collection" Vine. There were are a lot of extra blues mp3's leftover from this iPass Blues Pass that need to be shared. What's a Vine you ask .... We'll treat this like a Pass where I'll create 1 set of CD's with "all" of mp3's that I have received since the beginning of the iPass Blues Pass and send it to the first person in the Vine. They can then download or copy the CD's and then send it on along to the next participant of the Vine. We'll continue along in this manor until each member of the Vine has an opportunity to make a play.

We'll also be including a 3 cigar PIF (Pass It Forward) along with the Vine. Just a little sumpin, sumpin you think the next BOTL would like to smoke while enjoying some cool blues tunes .

Welcome to the iPass Blues Pass. That's right CP member's, it's time to combine your love of cigars with your love of music. In the iPass Blues Pass, we'll be creating a compilation CD of some of our favorite Blues tunes. Along with your P&T's each participant will be asked to download one or more of their favorite Blues mp3's to a USB flash drive that will be included in the pass. At the end of the pass, your Pass Host will compile the tunes into the iPass Blues Vol. 1 CD and mail each pass member a copy. Not only will this be a great opportunity to get some fantastic cigars but it'll also give you the opportunity to discover some new Blues artists. I would then recommend that you go out and support these artists by purchasing their CD’s.

Even though this isn't an invitation only pass there are a few requirements to being accepted as a participant. Besides having a bit of knowledge about Blues music, mp3 files and downloading to a USB flash drives you will also need to have a minimum of 300 posts, at least 6 months tenure on Cigar Pass and be a standup BOTL. I'm setting the number of participants at 20, including myself.

If you fit the requirements, agree to play by the Pass Rules and can keep up with the Official Cigar List then post your request for participation and our panel of judges will review your stats.

Pass Rules:
1. A complete physical inventory will be done upon receiving the pass. Also confirm that the baggie numbering corresponds to the Official Cigar List numbering. Post any problems in the pass thread and contact your Pass Host directly.
2. Inspect the box and packaging materials for proper cigar packing and refill the humidification device if needed. If necessary, correct any problems and either post your concerns in the pass thread and/or contact your Pass Host directly.
3. Do not remove the cigars from their individual baggies unless they are part of your approved P&T’s.
4. Post your proposed Puts and Takes (P&T’s) in the pass thread for all participants to review. If there are issues with a participant’s proposals, please be polite and post your concerns in the forum. Please do not take this process personal, your Pass Host will make the final decision.
5. Put & Takes (P/T’s) should be: a) value for value, b) rarity for rarity, c) NC for NC, d) Premium for Premium and e) ISOM for ISOM.
6. Confirmation of readiness must be made in the pass thread prior to shipping the package to the next participant.
7. Package will be shipped via USPS with delivery confirmation. Post the DC# in the forum immediately following shipping.
8. Download to the included flash drive one, or two, of your favorite Blues songs. Format to be mp3 and a bit rate of 192kbps preferred.

AVB, if you have a Blues CD, you can just rip one of the tracks to MP3 yourself. If you do so, I would recommend atleast a 160 bitrate. If you need some help, I'd be happy to walk you through how to get it done.

Interesting ... there has been some interest in getting a copy of the CD when this pass is over by members who aren't in the iPass. I'm starting a list and am sure we can work something out

I'm really looking forward to this pass guys and have been checking my CD library for a couple of special songs to start this off. I was planning on using a 128k flash drive but am starting to wonder if this is too small? :laugh:
