Considering that Cohiba is the brand that is counterfeited the most...
It makes perfect sense to me that people would ask and more importantly share pictures if they think the cigars they spent hard earned money on might be fakes.

the more people share the more we as cigar lovers can be informed and make educated descions. The more you know, the less likely you are to buy fakes. Knowledge is power
I think Wurm and tmj5019 are right on the button. It's a good thing that folks feel comfortable enough with this community to share their doubts. Years ago, most first time Habanos buyers probably would have just kept quite and taken the loss again and again.
This is one of the greatest benefits of a community such as CigarPass.

Yes, I have noticed the number of comments and being one who has raised an issue about potentially fake cohibas, seeing these made me more comfortable in sharing my own story and has helped me learn more about cigars. Of course, I'm coming from the newbie side as it realtes to ISOMs and as long as the more experienced folks don't mind educating, it's all good to me.
Now if someone will please send me a real Cohiba to help with my education... :whistling:

Well, considering that my first buys (while on vacation overseas) were most certainly fakes, I think people want to know as much as they can. I myself was put off by Habanos due to my first expirence... it tasted like crap compared to what I've tried since then. My thought was that they were nothing special and what was the fuss all about.
Now I know... :thumbs:
