On the off chance that someone may have had this problem.........three weeks ago I was playing cards until 3AM and I noticed that my kidney's were getting more tender as the night and morning progressed. Being a jarhead, I dismissed it as entirely to much laughter. It caused me to leave work early on three different occasions and take days off and lay in bed for two others. So far, I've had a cat-scan but nothing was found. I've dismissed stones and the big C (as I've had a battle and fortunately won in the past). To have the doc tell me they found nothing in the scan as they are still tender is frustrating. I am better but, still concerned. My blood work hasn't come back yet so, I'm just waiting with frustration. :(

Never had to deal with this issue, and never really heard of anything outside of stones typically being the cause of the issue. Good luck with it brother. Hope it passes soon.

See what the bloodwork says but don't rule out infection as of yet. I work with two people that both had kidney infections lately. Antibiotics cleared it up though. Any pain when you pee? Febrile lately?

No changes in my performance urinating what so ever. Tha's what ruled out stones from the beggining. Febrile?????

Here is something to think on. When a Gall Bladder goes, it will cause a lot of pain where the kidneys are located. You may want to ask about that to your Doc.

It's a bitch getting old!!!! Thanks for all of the suggestions and well wishes guys. I'm writing everything down for my doc. He'll figure it out....I worry more about my wife's concerns. Gotta love her!!!!

Everything will be ok man, if its not a big C and stones than its probably some kind of infection. Few days/weeks of curation and You'll be healthy as a horse!

I know a couple of folks that this has happen to and the solution was simple in both cases.
Are you drinking enough water?? If not, drink plenty and see if it helps. I know it sounds silly but these guys were sick with worry and getting test after test until one of their doctors finally asked about their water intake.

Best of luck to you!

I have had that experience myself. It went away after a few days and I assumed it was a kidney infection. Hopefully that is all it is in your case as well.

If they ruled out the big problems, and there is no protien in your urine, than its probably just an infection. Hope you find a resolution quickly and feel better.

Ummmm, as well meaning as everyone is may I suggest you don't take a bunch of suggestions from these guys to your doctor.... That would be like someone telling Payton Manning how to throw a football because they onced pitched baseball in little league. ;)

Good luck with your results.

Dickson,
Hope everything is cool with your health!
Don't be afraid to get second opinions from other doctors!
Be well!

Damn good advice.

Doc.

What I'm saying is. I'll ask the Doc the questions. Not give him suggestions. Not my yob.......

One thing I've learned after about 200 doctor and specialist visits...Ask questions because its YOUR health and not the doctor's. Plus it doesn't hurt to do a little research about the symptoms. You have to remember Doctor's are only human as there is many simple symptoms they maybe over looked in any tests. Yes, it does happen and I'm a perfect example of many medical blunders provided by the VA Hospital. I have some stories that I could tell in some pretty bad treatments and diagnosis's way off base. So I learned to ask questions and be prepared. :D
