Cigar Ambassador
As some of you might remember, I went through a rough patch not too long ago employment wise, as my old firm did some restructuring, and I was looking for a new gig. Well, a few months ago I found one, and the company is great, the people are outstanding, and the work is pretty interesting. Then, just a week or two ago, I got a call back from a contact of mine that works HR for an Investment Adisory firm, who told me they were looking for a Chief Compliance Officer for the firm...and I got it!!
I have been in Compliance pretty much since I graduated from Law School, and this position is the one that you aim for if you go into this business. I will start the first Monday in July. I have a few weeks of things to get done here, and will give my employer as much as I can until I leave, as I feel terrible about coming on and now leaving, though everyone here 100% understands and is being very supportive.
Just wanted to let my fellow BsOTL here know.
Already celebrated with a mid-80's LGC Medaille D'Or #1 (Gary...did we decide that these were the #1 or the #4? I can't remember...whatever, I'll look at the box tonight), and it was TASTY. Going to smoke something else tonight...I think an older TAA cigar, Don Carlos Edicion de Aniversario, God of Fire, or the Davidoff 100th Diadema.
I can't decide. Paired with the Ron Z, Glenlivet 1969 or some Cognac...depends on the cigar.
