So my mom up in WA is in her early 80s and my sister and BIL up there and I have finally made her understand that she really shouldn't drive anymore. Fortunately she is pretty understanding about it.
When it comes to her car, it looks like I am going to get it at the best price ever... she wants to give it to me and won't take a dime.. and if any of you have mothers like mine, you will understand when I say there is no arguing with that lol!
In any case, when I can figure out the logistics, I am going to get my hands on a 2014 Subaru Outback. And get this.... only 55,000 miles!
I am sure it is a baseline model, but it quite literally has been driven by a little old lady - I bet the car has never been over about 70mph lolol. And it is immaculate.
I'm going to have to fly up and christen the Mobile Herf Wagon® on the 12 hour drive down!
I know there are some other Subaru people here - any insight or tips?
I'm not an offroad driver, I'm more of a cruise around town or road trip person, so I'll want to make any mods or adjustments in that direction. I'll likely replace the wheels/tires, tint the windows, update bulbs to LED, and some general things like that before I start installing other stuff lol
There are a couple of Subaru forums I'm going to check out too.... we'll see what kind of trouble I can get into outfitting the ride.
