It is right next door to the Orleans..huge place...

we have a pretty cool pass idea we will be doing at the event..that everyone should enjoy
 
Oh that's the place. I know exactly where you're talking about, it's across from Riteaide. Easy to get to and easy parking.

Silverstone rents Calloway clubs for $40. I'll be getting us the Honor's Club rates for golf, price will drop by then, when I find out I'll let everyone know the rates..

Have you looked at getting some sponsers to donate prizes to be raffled off?

If not I could contact some ppl and see if they would be willing to donate for raffles.

As time passes I hope more members will try and make it to this event.
 
Alex, I'm working with one sponsor right now. They said they'll be able to donate shirts and cigars. Will create a webpage with all the info soon.

I was gonna make a post to the lobby again about the herf...but since Rod is building a page...we can just wait for that
 
I am going to start working on my wife to try and get a couple days off to come out to this. Sounds like a ton of fun.

While perusing the last few pages the one thing I didn't see is where folks are planning on staying.

My wife and I are in, so put us down, Matty. I'm at a loss as to where to reserve. I don't gamble, so strip hotels hold nothing for me. I don't chase my mistakes around a golf course either. We're headed into Harms Way by driving it from Denver - about a 12 hour jaunt - even with those really bad holiday traffic jams. I'm bringing my daughter as well. When you meet her, you'll understand why.

Rod, Matty, hows about sumamrizing the itinerary.
 
If I were you I would stay at the Rio then. Its off of the strip. I think were going to stay at the Bellagio.

Stay at either the Rampart or the Suncoast...way off strip...close to Mnt. Charelston and to Red Rock Canyon...The Orleans is a nice place as well.

Red Rock Station will be open by then as well

Friday there will be a Pub crawl/smoke crawl...saturday is a dinner wherever (working on that) and a cocktail party/herf of doom...sunday is golf
 
If you stay at the Orleans, make sure you request A NEWLY REMODELED ROOM. Otherwise you might get one their old run down rooms.

Also, Orleans is walking distance to this pub, literally right across the street.

If you have connections in getting sponsors to donate some stuff, please do. The more the better. I'm working with Toraño on getting some cigars, shirts and so on. I met with a rep last week. Nice guy.
 
Hows about our spouses who won't necessarily want to hang with the HERFing agenda? Is there anything in the works for them? My wife is certainly into the light and noise producing coin vacuums.

We might be onto a room at the Polo Towers, but there are a multitude of 'second' choices.
 
I say for the herf we let the ladies all get together and find their own things to do. I know Alex's women and mine will be somewhere together.

I know for sure they will be together. I think they will have a good day planned..LOL!! Hmm shopping...spa treatments...followed by more shopping.. LOL!!

Maybe the ladies can all get together and hang out.
 
The ladies/wives can all just go shopping at the mall right there on the strip, or any of the newer large casinos like Venetian, Bellagio etc.

Is anyone else finding that rooms/flights are mad expensive right now? For just me to fly and stay 3 nights I'm looking at about $600 at a 2 star hotel! What happened to all the great deals that are supposed to be out there?
