Padron Question

I just recently started getting serious about smoking cigars within the past few months. Last week, I picked up 5 Padron 2000's and a few Londres. I noticed 2 things about the sticks, and I'm wondering if this is normal: The caps are all really small. They don't extend down the cigar enough to be able to make a cut without taking off the whole cap (the cap ends before the cigar start to curve down.) There also seems to be a small amount of glue (or something else that looks like clear dried glue) around the cap on every one of the cigars. I had the same problems with a Padron a got a few weeks ago from a different shop, so I'm assuming wasn't just a bad box I got the singles from. I've never seen these problems on other brands, and was just wondering if this is typical of Padrons. I also picked up a few of the Padron Anniversay's and didn't notice the same problems.
 
A lot of people seem to prefer to punch their Padrons for that very reason. They have crappy caps. The anniversaries don't because they are a better cigar from start to finish. Either be very careful or start punching your regular padrons. I have on occasion double punched them because I am not a big fan of how small the opening is.


They still get :thumbs: IMO.
