got my hands on an Opus X from a local cigar store and it has been put away to cook in my humidor for the time being

Have you considered putting one in a food processor and grinding it to a fine powder for cosmetic use?

I'm not touching mine for another year or so. They are in for the deep rest.
I too have a SEP 09 box and I haven't even given any thought to smoking one....I may try one just to see what it is like....you never know, I may love it or I may pitch it after an inch or so..lol.
Cooking tips aside, it depends on how big your collection has grown. If you have relatively few aged CCs you may not want to wait as long.
On the other hand, if you purchase more boxes you'll have less incentive to smoke the younger ones.
