When I first came to CP, I thought I was very knowledgeable about Cigars. Both ISOM's and NC cigars. I was not here long before I quickly realized how wrong I was in many aspects. One in particular was my ignorance to the fact that "my friend" had several fake cigars his collection. Two vendors from the "north" had sold several boxes . One would not even return calls.
The other however, did. He said he wanted to make it good but, he would go long periods without any communication on his end. Last month it was taken up a notch, calling him leaving messages daily. Would send him emails to all three of his accounts every other day.
I guess he finally grew weary of this and, called.
He just checked yesterday and, a credit for just under $600.00 was made. The vendor issuing the credit was listed as: Pac N Post- Miami Fla. So much for the business supposedly being from the "North" like it shows on the web.

Nice job, I will not comment on my own shortage of knowledge, after I joined CP. But its good to know that some of these guys pushing FAKES can be had. I say call them out.

Congratulations, John. Not all endings are happy but in this case, you certainly did ok.

Time to light one up. A real Cuban, I mean. ;)

I don't know if the issue of outing verified sellers of fakes has been settled. Based on recent precedent here, I'd say it's a gray area that merits case by case consideration.

Based on my work with John and the fact that they offer a 2001 EL-banded Partagás Pirámides*, I'd consider it safe to say that these guys are knowingly peddling counterfeits.

In my opinion, naming them would be a service for our international members who may lawfully purchase Cuban cigars. Just don't post a direct link, please.

* There is no such cigar. Partagás released a 2000 EL Pirámides that had an EL band with no year on it.

In that case...................The following vendors have been implicated in passing fake cigars.

I had me a bunch of those Miami Cooban cigars as well, i felt like a total idiot when they were revealed as fake on this board, but i'm glad i stuck around, i've learned 10 times (at least) more in the past year than i did my previous 15 years smoking cigars. Sounds like the 'northern' vendors of fakes might be working with the guy that screwed me, i believe he shipped from the same type place (pack and ship or pack and post, something like that). His name is Adrian A*ila Jr, he's a scum sucking sleaze ball jackass pickle sniffing con artist.
