Starting with Esteli seco

EE113418-FAFE-4BC1-9988-1F348076FF26.jpeg

foot smells like cedar and leather

dry draw some molasses

Once lit initial taste leather, earthy, oak, slight white pepper on the retro

later some notes of expresso and later green tea. Overall the smoke has a dry quality. Pepper picked upon the retro towards the end

Next up Condega Seco
4BC76D2A-57C6-4055-B562-D9B296AFCE9D.jpeg

foot is more floral in character

dry draw has more of a grassy hay like quality

Once lit initial flavors are cashews and cinnamon with cayenne on the retro also light roast coffee is mixed into the flavors as well

the nutty notes are really well shown in this batch as the cigar is progressing

i think this flavor profile is closer to the CC than the Esteli and where that one had a very dry like feel this one is very balanced vs the creamy like texture on the other side of the spectrum.

I am very jealous of this!!!!! Excited to watch your journey with this.

The box actually comes with 3 secco cigars 3 ligero and 3 viso 1 only made from binder and 2 little wrapper only cigarillos in the coffin Also 3 mystery cigars that are a complete blend.

if anyone is really interested in the experience I can send them the 1 of each secco ligero viso and the mystery cigar Although it will not be a 100% experience without the wrapper and binder it will come pretty close. PM me and we can work something out.

I am curious to see what you think of the "wrapper only" cigarillo?

Having come to understand that 90% of a cigar's flavor comes from the wrapper while representing only 10% of the total tobacco, I have always wondered what a cigar would taste like if made from wrapper only tobacco?

You money and your deal, but I think you should keep this whole experience together and see it through to the end.

I've been debating this one. I'm not sure it would fit in my fridgidor, though. That looks like a substantial box!

I'm looking forward to following along here. Great thread!

Ok, Dan or Aaron, can you hit with a link where this can be bought. I remember that price... and I can't say no any longer. I think I know how to make it fit.

So, what is the strategy with these? Do you smoke all four of one kind in a row before moving on to another? Do you smoke them round-robin style? I'm wanting to upgrade my understanding of cigars, and this seems like a tailor-made starter kit!
